SCA Members’ Briefing on Campaign Escalation

The Stronger Charities Alliance have been pursuing reforms to protect charities’ ability to advocate on behalf of the causes and communities we represent.

While the Albanese government ostensibly supports the reforms, they have been slow to pursue legislation. After nearly 4 years of building support through the inside track, backed by a model bill and endorsement by the Not-for-profit Sector Development Blueprint, we are still far from reforms. As the undercurrents of Australian politics shift (see latest polls), we may not achieve the reforms after the 2028 elections. Hence, we are entering a new phase of escalation for the campaign, and we need your help.
